Here We Go Again...

First of all, keep commenting on "A Proposal..." :)

Okay, on to the pertinent stuff. It's that time again...time for the giving out of the NUMBER ONE FAN AWARD! Yay! I know you all love this boring-ass super fun ceremony thing :P So I shall officially commence with it and stop boring you to death.

Again, this award is based on the merit of the readers' comments of the past and probability of their future comments. It is simply a reward for LOYALTY, which only one of my readers seems to have.

Therefore, the winner of my

#1 FAN AWARD

is The Cooler Jacobs once again. Congratulations. And keep it up!

I recommend that everyone else amp up their commenting. Do you really want The Cooler Jacobs to win this EVERY time? I sure hope not. It would send to oblivion the reason I started this award! I want you to compete for it! I want it to be an honor! I want you to comment more so I don't feel like I'm just talking to myself here!!!

But I still love you guys...as much as you disappoint me...

COMMENT!!

Next post is definitely going to be poetry. Something mellow and not too exciting. I have to calm down my posts a bit. Can't get too antsy or angst-y... :P

Long Time No Post :(

Come on people!!! Only one comment on "A Proposal..."????? You can do better than that!

Anywho... I wasn't sure what to do this post on...but I just got an idea. :) This past Friday, two fabulous things happened. First of all, I began watching AVPS (A Very Potter SEQUEL) with The Cooler Jacobs, and I saw The Muppets in theaters. Starting with the first, I'm sorry to let you down, but I will not be talking about AVPS this post. We didn't get to finish all of it, so another time :) But The Muppets. I did not grow up on the muppets, I had never watched anything to do with them. But that doesn't mean I was completely oblivious to their existence. I knew who Kermit was, I knew who Miss Piggy was, I even knew who Fozzie was. Still, seeing this movie was a very interesting experience for me. I wasn't sure if I would like it or not - never having been exposed to the muppets before.

Let me just say, it was awesome :) Not only because of the appearances of three people from two awesome shows, but because I found it really cute and heartfelt. But back to the three people. Number one - Jason Segel, a.k.a. Marshall of HIMYM :) He was the leading man! (not the leading muppet). Secondly, we saw the fabulous Jim Parsons, a.k.a. Dr. Sheldon Cooper of TBBT (The Big Bang Theory). It was such a wonderful surprise, so I won't ruin it for you :) Lastly (but surely not least important) NPH HAD A CAMEO! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love NPH so much :) :) :) Although, I believe he should have had more of a role than he did. His wit and charm would have added just that much more to a great movie.

Hence, I strongly recommend seeing The Muppets. Preferably in theaters so you can enjoy the entire greatness of those three actors. :) I also recommend commenting on "A Proposal..." One comment is not enough! And you ARE allowed to comment more than once. We need a huge list! As disappointing as it was to see only one measly comment, I still have faith in you - my fabulous readers. So get to it!!!! Love you guys <3

Next post I'm thinking some poetry...mellow this thing out a bit :P or possibly something that's a bit overdue...

A Proposal...

So...it's been a while since I posted last, and I apologize for that. Dance has been so crazy, today was the first school day since it started that I didn't have practice! Hence, Monday's may become my new blogging day. :)
I'd totally do more poetry, but then it would possibly become the sole reason for this blog's existence...me getting comments from my friends on stuff I've already heard their comments on time and time again! Haha

Now on to the good stuff...

I have an idea. Now bear with me dear readers... I want to create a giant list of that's what she said jokes. This task may be daunting, and it may seem ridiculously laborious, but I promise you that we can do it. Nothing is impossible when 4 bored minds come together!! Those being ours of course :P
I shall start the list in my post, but after that it must obviously continue within the comments. Let's do this thing!! Oh and Beaf, you are only allowed to use up to 5 from the list we already began on paper - which is so lame compared to the internet!
Oh, and once we complete our list, I'll actually make it a list and put it on my blog home page so we can view our work proudly without having to go through each and every comment over and over again. Sound good? Okay, now let's do this thing!!!!

1. Ah! It's coming right at me!
2. It was definitely not what I was expecting.
3. (the classic) It's so sticky!
4. I can't take it anymore. I'm about to explode!
5. Aww, it's in my hair!

**please continue the numbered format in the comments. Thank you!!
can't wait to see what you come up with and don't forget to comment on any new posts as they continue to be posted!

"Special" from The Specials Collection

She takes a breath
slow, deep,
savoring every moment.
Her eyes open with a flash of green.
Standing in the calm,
it almost seems like everything is okay.
It seems perfect.
The light breeze cools her face,
calms her after the run.
Everything seems perfect,
but the green eyes flash again,
back to reality.
Back to the fight.
Her heightened hearing tells of a danger,
fast approaching.
She cannot be found.
Must run again.
But where?
The danger is closing in.
All around her people scream.
Her eyes close once more
and she braces for impact.
But it never comes.
Another staggered breath.
The screams have stopped.
Her eyes open, a flash of -
blue.
Time has stopped.
She steps out of the ruckus
and leaves for her new life.

With the Gods on her side?

The first I've written for this collection. I had no idea it would take the turn it did as I was writing. It was as if the poem took on a life of its own and I was just the messenger. I was just the person chosen to bring it to life. When a writer feels something like that, it is a huge moment, a huge bound in their writing career. And I'm so grateful (and surprised) that I was lucky enough to be one of those lucky few writers. And you are all now a part of that moment and that realization. :)

"Unvoiced Desires"

Where I am weak, and
afraid, and
shy,
you are strong, and
brave, and
open.
You are everything that
I am not.
And somehow
when I'm with you...
I become those things too.
You complete me,
you have what I am
missing.
You make me the person
I've longed to be.
Craig Charles Gwin,
I love you
and I need you.

And I long for you to
hold me as you once did.

I long for you to need me
once more...

Well there you go. It's kind of old, but it's one of my favorites. I write a lot from personal experience and such so there isn't much that doesn't have personal pronouns...but there are a few of them. Since this one was on the short side, I'll post another one...probably a narrative one or one from my new collection. I'm trying something new - writing a series of narrative poems that tells a really big story..Kind of like a book, but very different. It's exciting and truly challenging :)
