Our "Civic Duty"

Yeah, it's been over a month. I know. And I know I say stuff like this at the beginning of all my posts, so  it's probably quite annoying to read it every time. You know I sporadically post, therefore, henceforth I shall just 'get-the-fuck down to it' in each future post. Love to reader(s).

As you might guess by the title, it is about that day that comes up once every 4 years in November...voting. And not just any voting, mind you, Presidential voting. I'm sure you're afraid this post will be super political and boring, but I'm going to try to NOT make that happen. If that means making fun of Obama's large ears once or twice, so be it. Caricaturists do it all the time.

The two candidates this year are Barack Obama (D), the incumbent, and Mitt Romney (R), the asshole. Oops! Did I really just type that? My bad. Let me cross it out... Now he is the nothing candidate, he has no catchphrase. Therefore, I'm sorry Mitt, you can never be a superhero.

Now, I know my high school social study teachers (one in particular...I won't name names, cause he might come across this somehow...) will be very disappointed in me if they ever hear of this, but I seriously couldn't tell you the difference between a democrat and republican point of view. There's something about liberal and conservative....and then that's all I've got. It's like trying to understand Arabic for me. All I see when people talk politics is squiggly lines and all I hear is people trying to hawk lougies (clear phlegm). I am truly sorry if I completely fucked up the spelling of that way too common phrase.

A few people I know are not happy with this year's election at all. So much so that they may not vote. Or just go in shit-faced and see what happens. Wait....not everyone does that? Oh shit, I should never have smoked that much weed and watched the debate....
Haha but seriously, I'm sure more than just those couple people are thinking that way. Not a lot of people like what Obama did in his 4 years, but they think Romney will just spend all his time trying to erase what Obama DID accomplish.
On the plus side though, if Obama does lose, he can hide the shame on his face with his ears. (Joke #1)

While I'm currently still undecided, I doubt I would tell you who I was voting for even if I knew. I don't  like to know people's political opinions because I either feel like they're forcing you to agree or they just want everyone to know. Narcissistic pricks. lol
Still, I don't want to influence your decision in any way.

I can't believe it...I'm running out of material.... Well...I'm not sure what else I really wanted to put in here anyway so if you have any questions or anything...just put them in the comments...and normal comments are recommended as well!!

I wish I had one last joke, but gee I just don't. So check out Jimmy Fallon or any other late night TV host for the best ever political jokes!!! Especially Jimmy Fallon. He's the best.

Post again whenever!!

The Long Awaited Post...

I am such a liar whenever I say there will be another post within weeks. So for future reference...don't take it to heart when I say that anymore haha.

I'm not sure if you remember, but a long time ago, I promised a post on a certain someone and I have been putting it off for a long time. It's partially because I've wanted to do research (still hasn't been done) and partially because I just kept on forgetting. So since it's on my mind right now I'll do my research as I go and just get this post out there for you to read.
Anyways, enough stalling. Here it is, the long awaited post about the one, the only, NPH. :D

As I mentioned in the HIMYM post, NPH is a glorious gay man who is a seriously talented actor and singer. Instead of briefly mentioning his other roles and talents and such, this post will focus solely on him (as it very well should!). I am planning to cover a few basic areas, but they'll cover a lot in themselves. 1. let us explore his sexuality (I know it sounds weird, but DEAL WITH IT), 2. again, discuss his HIMYM role, and 3. go over his numerous OTHER roles!

1. I know I've said it before, but for the sake of those who skim, I'll say it again. Neil Patrick Harris is a gay man. He was living this way, unbeknownst to the public, for quite some time I believe. While I'm sure everyone was/is profoundly proud of him for coming out, I'm also sure many women were secretly distraught. NPH is gorgeous! And the fact that he bats for their team has select women feeling like they lost out. Yes it would have been a one in several billion chance of things happening, but they were free to dream.
Oh heck, who am I kidding?! Women STILL dream about NPH. We seriously don't care if he's gay. He doesn't have to be in our imaginations/dreams ;)

2. I covered it in "HIMYM and the Glory of NPH" but it bears covering again. NPH plays Barney Stinson, a very straight man in HIMYM. That alone says a great deal about his acting skills. But it isn't just the fact that he's gay that makes his character so amazing to watch...it's how Barney grows and evolves as a character that is so wonderfully compelling. He's always hilarious, but he leaves his man-whore days behind and becomes a human being. And I think only NPH (or a select few others) has the capacity/ability to do such a thing. Much love to him for that :)

3. Starship Troopers, The Muppets, The Smurfs, Undercover Brother, Beastly, all 3 Harold and Kumar movies, Glee, Doogie Howser, M.D., and so many more roles/appearances. Just by that list, you can clearly see his range and it. is. HUGE. I watched Starship Troopers, I watched the movie (even though it looked weird - and I didn't know he was in it beforehand) and I fucking loved it.

I just cannot believe how talented he is. It blows my mind.

He is 100% awesome as well as Legen - wait for it - Dary. Legendary.

And boom goes the dynamite. That's how the cookie crumbles.

Live It Up!

I realize this post probably should have happened like 3 months ago, but I didn't have my awesome organization of posting back then so I didn't think of this until quite recently. Sue me.  (please don't. I have no money...or lawyer...)

Summer. Three months of short shorts, bikinis, flip flops, sun, and memories. Summer is the one season that was created purely for purposes and experiences of EPICNESS. Sadly, my summer has been anything but epic. I barely got to spend it with my friends and now they're all leaving me. And they're almost all going to different states. So, while it isn't recommended that people regret their summer, I do regret mine.
Therefore, this post is going to be full of ideas, tips, and plans so no one else has to experience that.

Things to Do

  • swim
  • beach
  • road trip
  • water fight
  • sleepover
  • camping
  • movie marathon
  • fort building
  • adventures
  • concerts
  • shopping
  • party
  • and SO MUCH MORE!!!

Tips

  • plan ahead - this is key
  • take initiative - start plans if you're bored
  • don't plan ahead - impromptu can be good too
  • stay awake - sleep is the enemy
  • don't worry about diets or health shit - that's what the rest of the year is for!
  • enjoy every second - each one wasted is one you can't get back

Ideas
---If you have a boyfriend here is what you do:
every other week - friends/boyfriend
or something similar - just have an idea/plan to make it work
---If you don't have a bf:
see what you can do about staying with friends for extended periods of time

Lots of this was pulled out of my ass on the fly, but it is all useful and true.
Keep this in mind...write it down... Add things to do, tips, or ideas in the comments. Just don't forget this information.

Don't waste another summer!!!!!  :D

Hope You're Not Claustrophobic

I could go so many places with that title, and not all of them are pretty. Haha but I'm sure you remember what I said in my last post - that these next few are all going to be about time period in which most people really come into themselves: college.

So, have you figured out what my title means yet? That's right - dorms! I know it's a generalization that all college dorms are small, but they usually are... Unless you're going to Gustavus or some other fancy pants private college (emphasis on the fancy pants). But yes, I will be discussing dorm living today.

There are generally 4 main thoughts and/or concerns when it comes to dorm rooms: roommates - will they be crazy or will you become BFFs?; (for the ladies) decorating - how much is too much?; alcohol - is your campus dry?; and, last but not least, parties - who's going to have them and how do you get  invited? Let's go over them, shall we (or shall I, I suppose).

ROOMMATES
I'm sure everyone remembers when that movie came out about the psycho roommate. If not, check it out - The Roommate (2011). I never actually saw it, but I'm sure it made people start wondering just how...different their roommate might be. Most people get lucky and get either a reasonable roomie or someone they mesh with perfectly. As for the unlucky ones, they rarely have a problem that extreme. It's usually just someone who's a huge pain in the ass. Still, no matter how 'cool' you guys are together, you need to work out a system or something - who takes which side, how studying will work, etc. Once you do that, feel free to soak up all those college experiences.

DECORATING
As women, we tend to want to pack up our entire lives and take it with us to school. Unfortunately, there isn't a vehicle big enough to do so, let alone a dorm room big enough to hold all our shit. Therefore, we end up facing a dilemma when it comes time to pack. I'm not gonna tell you anything about what to do when it comes to your clothes or shoes, cause trust me - I am NOT the person to ask about that. As far as putting homey touches and decorations in your room, that I can handle. How much is too much? you might be asking. What you want to avoid at all costs is clutter. Bring a few posters, maybe a cute rug, some adorable storage options (ottomans work great), two or three stuffed animals - if you're into that, cute bedding that you can layer, a lamp would be good too (dorms have horrid lighting), and one thing I would absolutely bring is a photo album to keep all my friends close to my heart. :) I know that sounds cheesy and lame, but you know you're all thinking the same thing.

ALCOHOL
Most campuses these days are dry - no alcohol allowed whatsoever. This can really be a bummer, but there are ways to avoid it, if you wish. Option 1) sneak in booze. Option 2) find a friend who has a house or apartment off campus. There are probably other options, but this is getting long already. So what I'm trying to say is A) find out if your campus is dry or not and B) work around it if it is.

PARTIES
Partying is what usually first comes to mind when teenagers think about college. And yes, there are some really cool parties. Maybe they're not what you expected or even had in high school, but they can be fun. What I've seen a lot of are themed parties - neon, toga, etc. While there may be alcohol, there also may not be. So find out beforehand and dress accordingly. No one wants their night to turn from dream come true to a nightmare. Who's having them? Usually older students, like juniors or seniors. Sometimes you'll see a sophomore, but rarely a freshman host. How do you get invited? Know people! Ask people! It's as simple as that. It's not like there's going to be "a list."

So, this has been an extremely long post about living in dorm rooms across the nation. I hope I gave you some good info, and didn't get too boring or preachy.

No matter what I say, be sure to have fun and enjoy these years. :)

Another post, possibly college related, coming soon!

Tiempo Para Universidad!

Well, I'm definitely late with this, even though I gave myself two weeks instead of one. Oops  XD

I hope you can understand that little bit of Spanish because I don't feel like translating. If you can't, 1. you're dumb and 2. use Google translate.
It's coming...the inevitable day when everyone leaves for college. So my next few posts will be focusing on that glorious time of all our lives.

Even though I'm not actually moving when I go to school, I think I know what all of you are feeling. Part excitement at starting this new chapter of your life and part fear of leaving your current life behind. On the one hand, you're going to meet new people and have numerous new experiences, and on the other, you're leaving all your friends and family behind - and that can be hard. So you're pretty conflicted, but let me tell you how it will play out. The excitement will win and you'll leave and enjoy yourself, but after a few weeks, you'll really start to get homesick and you might wanna quit. But you won't, because you have new friends and you know college is important.

Okay, now that we've covered feelings (eh), we can get to the good stuff!

The actual schooling portion of college is something most people forget about. Even though it's pretty important - it's kinda the thing that gets you your diploma after 4 years. So, I'm sure most of you have already registered for your classes. As freshmen, they're not really gonna trust you to make the right decisions on your own, so they give you an advisor who is supposed to help you. I'm not saying they don't or won't, but sometimes it just works out that way.

So I'm totally curious about your majors and minors and specialties and first semester classes! Mostly cause I don't get to register for another couple weeks, but lets pretend I actually give a shit about what you're doing, shall we? Haha jk jk. You know I like to tease :P

Leave it in the comments? Otro universidad publica la próxima semana!

Responsibility's a BITCH!

I'm probably late again with this post, but what-evs. I've been busy. Stop harassing me! Oh...wait...I have no readers to do that....
OH WELL! :P

On a...less schizo note...the post. You know the title is true, but do you know where I'm going with it? Probably, but I'll tell you anyway. I love to build up the suspense :)
Okay, fine. It's about jobs/working, getting a job, and all that other shit that comes with being a "responsible adult."        BLEH!

Job = MONEY   :D , but working = SUCK  D:   Still, you need the :( to get the :). How unfortunate is that?! Ha well I'm sure most of you are 'cool' and are already a member of the work force; however, I am NOT. The only reason I wish I was is for the aforementioned happy thing.....(money). If I could get paid ridiculous amounts of money to sit on my ass, I would probably take that job in a heartbeat. Oh who am I kidding, forget the probably! I totally would..because I AM A LAZY FUCK. And I'm quite proud of it. I am also a high ranking member of the Procrastinators Union. For some reason, it took like, a few years for me to get my certificate. ;)

Back to working (UGH). Although I am not getting a regular paycheck, I am in the process of finding one. And it is a stupid process! I've applied to 5 stores online and 4 stores the old fashioned way. So far, I've heard back from three of them. Target essentially told me 'you suck, we're not hiring you.' I had an interview at Old Navy on Thursday - could go either way, but I'm thinking it'll probably be another 'f*** you.' As far as the third (DOTS!!! :D), I have an interview coming up on Wednesday. I truly hope I get this job because DOTS is freaking AMAZING! Imagine getting a discount on their clothes! :) Oh I could just die :)

Soooo enough about boring old me. Tell me about your working life!!!! I'm positive it's more impressive/interesting than mine. Mostly because it probably exists. Leave it in the comments!

Post again hopefully within a week (maybe two).    LOVE!

Admit It...You Have a Problem

Oopsie. I did a naughty...I'm late with my post. My most sincere apologies to you all. :)

On to the next!

Guilty Pleasures. We all have them - they're those things you do or habits you have that don't make sense to anyone. Sometimes not even yourself. But for some inexplicable reason, you enjoy it...so you can't stop.

They are nothing to be ashamed about....okay, they're usually embarrassing, but who cares. They are called guilty pleasures for a REASON! haha

Anyways...what I'm trying to say in a very roundabout way so I write more in this post, is that this is a safe place. You are all free to talk about your GPs without fear of judgement. Okay, I'll judge you a lot, but I won't actually SAY anything mean! So still feel free to vent and rant and talk openly about any of your GPs. Unless they're totally not appropriate for the internet... JK! But seriously...nothing freaky.

I'll start I suppose. My guilty pleasure is a TV show. A very cliche and overly dramatic TV show - One Tree Hill to be exact. I'm not sure if you're supposed to do something to television titles or not. Let me check OWL@Purdue quick! **time elapses - like 5 minutes**
Okay, I was too lazy to check OWL, so I did the next best thing - Yahoo Answers :)
Hence, my GP is the teen drama show, One Tree Hill.

Most people I tell make fun of me...a lot. So I wanted a no judgement space to share these things. I was too lazy to look for one (a recurring theme?) so I created one. Just in this one post though. Don't be talking about them anywhere else on my blog, or so help me I'll do something (probably) very drastic!
Back to the show...my brother's girlfriend convinced him to start watching it (so she could talk to him about it, I'm guessing) and I started watching a few episodes with him. It just stuck.

After that I was almost obsessed. I started borrowing all the seasons from her and was all caught up through season 6. But I couldn't watch season 7 on TV since it had already started. Long story short, I fell behind and forgot about it for a while. But then I relapsed. Now I have seasons 1-4 myself and I am in the process of getting the rest.
I am not as obsessed with it as I used to be, I rarely re-watch an entire season. It's usually just my favorite episodes from each one.

I can't stop! The show is just so good!
That is the part that no one understands. And it starts out slow and gets very frustrating at times, but it's so worth it. No matter how many times I try to explain it, no one tries to understand.
It is quite upsetting. Well, it was for a while, but I got over it.

This was not easy for me...spilling those secrets...but I feel... cleansed no different.

If that got a bit deep or like full of intense feelings...my bad. I was not going for that at all.
I want this to still be fun....so you know what that means!!!!
.......You don't?
Well, it means small amounts of slight teasing will be allowed. Take it hard if you want because I mean every word I say! :)

Hahahahahaha well that is all I have to say. The rest is up to you - The Cooler Jacobs. Share with me your guilty pleasure(s) in the comments.

Post again within a week. :)

Incest, Vampires, and Demons...What's Not to Love?

If you didn't know this already....I love to read.

Books are freaking awesome. And I have a few book series' that I nearly worship. Two of them are written by this kick ass author named Cassandra Clare. She is my idol. I want to write books that are as captivating as hers.

Anywho...one of her series of books is called The Mortal Instruments series. It includes 5/will include 6 books. Trust me, they are amazing. Even if the base story line is too....odd for you, you will love Jace. He is the male lead in the series and he is super gorgeous. You cannot NOT love Jace...even though he can be very frustrating at times. :P

The books are set in modern times and are about the main character, Clary, and her journey to find herself. She and her best friend, Simon, are at the Pandemonium Club when they meet the people who will inevitably change their lives.

The premise in these books is that there is a group of extraordinary people, known as Shadowhunters, that protect the normal humans (mundanes) from demons. Mundanes can't see any of this going on because of glamours. They act to shield and further protect the mundanes from a world they would not accept or understand. Among the Shadowhunters, there are fairies, warlocks, vampires, and werewolves. Just about all of those things we believed in as kids, but were told, and eventually convinced, never existed.
AAAANYWHOOO...Clary, for some reason, can see these things (unlike a regular mundane) and she finds herself abruptly thrown into the Shadowhunter world (Simon along with her), where she finds out that she is a Shadowhunter herself.

I'd love to say more, but just in case some random person who hasn't read the series stumbles upon my blog, I don't want to give too much away. If that tidbit of information kindled some intrigue, feel free to check out the series. I'm sure you'll love it.

In another post, I think I'll just discuss the wonderousness of he who is Jace. That post will hopefully be up soon. :)

Love to my reader and another post yet again within a week. <3

Random Ass Shit

So I doodle a lot when I get bored. And sometimes, they end up looking pretty fucking sweet. Other times they look like shit and I don't even know what I was thinking at the time.

When my drawings of boredom end up looking cool, I can usually only show them to my friends or my lover. It was only recently that I had a wondrous epiphany. I can scan my doodles onto my computer and share them with the world!

I would only ever do ones that don't have an exorbitant amount of embarrassing and/or personal information.

So I may have rambled enough, and it may be time to just show a picture of my doodle titled "Random Ass Shit" by Tay Tay.

I hope you enjoy its complete lack of sense :)

It might be a little hard to see. I hope that's not the case.

I am the master of random....and here it is on display for you all to see.

Love to my (imaginary) readers. Post again within a week. :)

When You Wish Upon a Star, Disney Movies are Best By Far

First, let me apologize for the extreme laziness on my part that has kept me from posting. Not that anyone cares, or reads this, but I like to imagine I have readers. So deal with it.

Disney is the name of the game. And not just any old crap (the newer stuff is lagging...admit it), the classics - the animated classics. The good old days when I was a kid and there was no Twilight plaguing the world. One of my favorites (then and now) is Mulan. Other good ones I like/liked are Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, Cinderella, Pocahontas, Toy Story, Aladdin, The Little Mermaid, Bambi, Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, Cars, and...who remembers The Brave Little Toaster?? :) I know I do. I think I'll highlight the best parts of each. This should be boring fun!

Mulan
Hands down, one of the BEST parts of this movie is Mushu. He has so many quotable lines! "That's it! Dishonor on your whole family! Dishonor on YOU, dishonor on your COW..."  And who can forget... "I ain't bitin' no more butts" And one of my absolute faves... "Who am I? Who am I?! I am the powerful, the pleasurable, the INDESTRUCTIBLE Mushu."  Other than that wonderful lizard dragon, awesome parts include the kick ass songs/singing and the men dressing in drag. Ahhh, Disney was so....diverse ;) hahahahaha

Beauty and the Beast
Again, singing - awesome. Creepy and yet beautiful love story. Talking teapots, candlesticks, clocks, furniture...what's not to love? :)

The Lion King
B-A story line. Still singing. Timon and Pumbaa are just bringing it home for this one. Am I right? Especially with Lion King 1 1/2. Freaking fabulous!

Cinderella
Singing mice. Ugly women - still with that diversity Disney, way to go! ;) Evil bitch-whores. And let me just ask...since when is an onion better than a pumpkin? Pumpkin pie is fricken delicious! And onions just stink (literally). hahaha but seriously. Good movie. From it were born all the cliches.

Pocahontas
This was never a huge favorite of mine, but I can definitely say I liked the relationship between the pug and the coon. Sometimes, the silent ones bring the best stuff to the party. lol

Toy Story
Buzz Lightyear and Woody the Sheriff. I was psyched when I saw this movie! I thought for a while that my toys actually talked when I wasn't around. After a while though, that thought became creepy and I just appreciated the hidden innuendo filled humor. ;)

Aladdin
Four words: Robin Williams as Genie. Priceless :)

The Little Mermaid
Yet more fantastic songs. Disney songs are just amazing. Human/half woman, half fish action. Innuendos galore - Ursula. Loved.

Bambi
Okay, classic movie and all. And I get why kids love it - it has furry animals and they are happy. But the story itself is fucked up. That is all I have to say.

Finding Nemo
Dori!!!!!! "I'm a natural blue." "Just keep swimming!" "I shall call him Squishy and he shall be mine and he shall be my Squishy." "Es-cape! Oh that's funny it's spelled just like escape." Dori is just fucking awesome! Nemo is also really cute and for some reason animated animals are always adorable. And that was a lot of alliteration.

The Incredibles
Superheros. DONE!

Cars
Mater. :) nuff said

The Brave Little Toaster
Okay, I have the one where they go to Mars... I absotively posilutely love this movie!!! Kitchen appliances going on adventures. WTF? But it works. It really does. Love, love, love. :D

So that about wraps it up. So many Disney movies so little time... I would have loved to talk about them all, but I can only allow myself to be boring for so long. Oh and btw, The Cooler Jacobs did come up with this title...I have to give her credit. It's pretty sweet.

Promise to post again soon. I actually have ideas!!! See ya :)

Delving Into the Mind of the Insane

Poetry seemed appropriate for my mood. It's very mellow and collected. So I chose to present a narrative poem. It's not personal, it's not depressing. It could also probably fit in the uplifting section, but it's a narrative. I never use pronouns (he/she) in my writing, so they all fit into my life and my own categories. Once I did use those pronouns, and it didn't fit into my Specials Collection, I created my narrative section.
Well I think I've rambled enough. Here you go.

Finish Line

Running
The wind whipping his face,
keeping him focused
on his goal
There is one purpose to this
He pushes harder,
runs faster
His eyes lock on the target
It's still distant,
but getting clearer -
through his clouded vision

The wind stings,
brings tears to his eyes
The wind stings,
but keeps him focused
Legs burning,
arms pumping,
he pushes forward,
running faster still

The target becomes clear
A yellow band -
of freedom
of victory
If only he could reach it
Never slowing
Never retreating
Always pushing
Always reaching
Until, finally
the yellow tape is broken
and he emerges, at last,
a winner

Well there you go. Something a little different. Not quite like anything I've done before, but still decent. Right?

Comment thoughts. Also, ideas for next post. :)

Unfortunate

I feel as though I have a job to do that has not been done since November. But I am conflicted. I realize that my crowning of the Number One Fan Award is long overdue, but I don't seem to have anyone reading anything I write. At all! Not even my previous winner has been reading/commenting. It is very disappointing.

That is why I have chosen to award myself with this honor.

It's a bit unorthodox and extremely unfair, but I truly am the only one reading my own blog. It is expected, obviously, for me to do so but the fact remains. I have no more readers. At least not during 2012.

Love to all. Possibly posting again soon. Depends on comment activity.

Fashionista vs. Maxxinista vs. Regular Chica!

It seems I haven't posted in a while... I've been a bit busy and I've been unsure of what to discuss. I am in a very fashion driven mood, so let's roll with it.

Every month when I get a new Seventeen, it has quite a few ideas I would love to try. I just realized today that I have so many clothes I never wear. Having them in my closet (being as plain and boring as they are) is keeping me from getting new, more fashionista-esque clothing. I hope to change that soon :) However, even if I get rid of my old, boring clothes, there is still one large problem I must face. I have no monies :(
I could always take a few tips from miss Níkolai Jaux and be a more thrifty shopper, try to find more deals.

But anywho, this post isn't just going to be me complaining about my lack of money; this post is about fashion!
I will be covering the top 10 trends in the fashion industry right now.

1. Neon: with spring creeping up, ever so slowly, a bright pop of color in your wardrobe lessens the winter blues.
2. Nautical: this look is deep (filled with many options and variations), so just dipping into it right now will be enough. Don't think "sailor" and take it too literally - wide leg jeans and some stripes (not over-the-top) will do.
3. Crochet: this fabric is mostly sweet and you can go a bit crazy in the girly department when using it...but I recommend throwing a wrench in the works - go edgy with crochet. A crocheted beanie or bracelet can do wonders in toughening up your look. Still, girly is always an option :P
4. Pleats: such a subtle detail...it can do so much. Pleats add fun to any outfit.
5. Sheer: this fabric/item seems a bit dangerous to me...done wrong it is disastrous, but done right it can be super cool. However, isn't that the case with all of fashion's most influential ideas? Just be careful with this one.
6. Floral: this has always been around and seems to disappear and reappear whenever we turn around. This time it has come back strong, plus very bold and daring. These aren't your grandma's plain petals...
7. Asymmetrical: this can apply to quite a variety of pieces. Asymmetrical skirts add whimsy and flare, plus they let you show off just enough of those legs that have been hiding all winter. Asymmetrical tops are more common, but can do essentially the same thing. This is one of my favorite styles :)
8. Edgy Boho: this one I haven't heard much about. Boho itself is a hard enough style to enter spontaneously...but boho with an edge could be less difficult to ease into.
9. Batik: I have not been previously exposed to it, at least not with this title. Simply put, it is bold prints and designs. Paired with #1 your style can pack a major punch. Good idea if you wanna smack someone in the face with your wardrobe!
10. Metallic: this fabric is no longer strictly reserved for parties and night life. Adding it to daily outfits adds a touch (big or small) of glam to anything and everything.

Hopefully I'll be posting again soon :)

AVPS Is Where It's At!

A Very Potter Sequel...where do I begin? So many things to discuss in wonder. I have an idea and it's kind of dumb but maybe could end up being cool.

So I propose this to you, The Cooler Jacobs, since you're my only reader...
I don't say anything in the actual post and we just discuss everything in comment form.

I mostly say this cause I'm lazy and don't want to think right now...but also to see just how many comments we can get. It would be nice to have at least one of my posts to get more than 10 comments. I don't think any have even hit 10 yet!!
