Well, I'm definitely late with this, even though I gave myself two weeks instead of one. Oops XD
I hope you can understand that little bit of Spanish because I don't feel like translating. If you can't, 1. you're dumb and 2. use Google translate.
It's coming...the inevitable day when everyone leaves for college. So my next few posts will be focusing on that glorious time of all our lives.
Even though I'm not actually moving when I go to school, I think I know what all of you are feeling. Part excitement at starting this new chapter of your life and part fear of leaving your current life behind. On the one hand, you're going to meet new people and have numerous new experiences, and on the other, you're leaving all your friends and family behind - and that can be hard. So you're pretty conflicted, but let me tell you how it will play out. The excitement will win and you'll leave and enjoy yourself, but after a few weeks, you'll really start to get homesick and you might wanna quit. But you won't, because you have new friends and you know college is important.
Okay, now that we've covered feelings (eh), we can get to the good stuff!
The actual schooling portion of college is something most people forget about. Even though it's pretty important - it's kinda the thing that gets you your diploma after 4 years. So, I'm sure most of you have already registered for your classes. As freshmen, they're not really gonna trust you to make the right decisions on your own, so they give you an advisor who is supposed to help you. I'm not saying they don't or won't, but sometimes it just works out that way.
So I'm totally curious about your majors and minors and specialties and first semester classes! Mostly cause I don't get to register for another couple weeks, but lets pretend I actually give a shit about what you're doing, shall we? Haha jk jk. You know I like to tease :P
Leave it in the comments? Otro universidad publica la próxima semana!
Major : physical therapy
ReplyDeleteClasses : Biology (and a lab), Chemistry (and a lab), Calculus (gross), and The Reflective Woman (it's a St. Kate's thing.)
Mi universidad no es publica.
Oooh sounds really lame for your first semester of classes. Oh well! Did you get to choose them or were they chosen for you?
ReplyDeleteBTW that reflective woman class sounds like it will be SO much fun! XD
Si, yo se eso.
I chose them. But, in a way, they're also chosen for me, because all of those classes are required for me and taking them all is the best way for me to stay on track to get my Doctorate in six years.
ReplyDeleteAh I see. I registered for my October classes last Thursday. They literally chose four classes for me, but I had schedule conflicts so they fixed all that like I told them to (they had to take me out of a class and put me in a different one - that I didn't get to choose either). College can be dumb like that. Lol
ReplyDeleteBTW sucks to be you and to have to go to school for 6 years! :P
